I. Preparation before Construction
Engineering Survey and Assessment:
A comprehensive survey and assessment of the project site to understand the geological conditions, environmental conditions and project requirements.
According to the survey results, select the appropriate type and specification of geotextile, and formulate the corresponding construction plan.
Material preparation:
Check the quality of geotextile to ensure that it meets relevant standards and requirements, such as tensile strength, elongation, aging resistance, etc.
Prepare appropriate amounts of auxiliary materials such as adhesives and sutures, as well as equipment and tools required for construction.
Site preparation:
Clean up the construction site, remove weeds, stones and other sundries, and ensure that the site is flat and free of sharp objects and sundries.
According to the needs, the site shall be treated with foundation treatment, such as leveling and compaction.
II. Construction Steps
Laying of Base Material:
According to the requirements of the project, lay a certain thickness of the bottom material, such as sand, gravel, etc. The bottom material should have good drainage and stability to provide stable support for the geotextile.
Unfold geotextile:
Remove the geotextile from the package and unfold it along the construction direction. Care shall be taken to avoid damage or folding of the geotextile during unfolding.
Use special tools or equipment to assist in unfolding to ensure that the geotextile is flat and wrinkle-free.
Laying of geotextile:
Lay in accordance with the requirements of the construction drawings. Pay attention to the consistent transmission direction of the geotextile. Do not flip and cut, so as not to damage its mechanical properties.
Cut the plate according to actual needs to ensure that the geotextile completely covers the required area and leaves enough overlapping length.
Fixed geotextile:
Use special tools or equipment to fix the geotextile to the base. The fixing method can be selected according to the needs of the project, such as the use of sand bags, nails, anchor rods, pier nails, steel wires, clamps and double-sided tape.
Attention should be paid to uniform force during fixing to avoid damage to geotextile caused by excessive local force. At the same time, to ensure the firmness and stability of the fixed point, to prevent the geotextile in the subsequent use of the process of displacement or fall off.
Bonding treatment:
At the geotextile lap joint, use special glue or hot melt welding machine for lap joint treatment. The lap width shall be determined according to the engineering requirements, and the lap joint shall be firm and without leakage.
Pay attention to check the quality of bonding to ensure that there are no omissions and defects.
Overlay:
After the geotextile is fixed, lay a certain thickness of covering material, such as sand, gravel, etc. The cover material shall have good protection and stability to provide additional protection and support for the geotextile.
Inspection and maintenance after 3. construction
Inspection and acceptance:
After the completion of the construction, a comprehensive inspection and acceptance of the project. The inspection contents include the flatness, tightness, joint quality and fastness of fixing points of geotextile.
The problems found shall be rectified and dealt with in time to ensure the quality and safety of the project.
Maintenance:
In the use of the process, should be regularly on the geotextile maintenance, such as cleaning debris, repair damage and so on.
Strengthen the monitoring and inspection of geotextiles, discover and deal with potential problems in time, and ensure its long-term stable operation.
Through the detailed implementation of the above steps, it can be ensured that the geotextile is used correctly during the construction process and its due function and effect can be exerted.
